Andreina Castillo, board member and secretary of culture will be moving soon to the Windy City of Chicago to pursue a MBA in Administration of the Arts at the prestigious University of the Arts of Chicago.
Andreina has been an important key player in the board; she was the creator of the Latin American Arts program of Casa de Venezuela (Memorias 2008 & Dialogo 365), that allowed us to create a magnificent group arts exhibition of talented Latin American artists living in our region and beyond.
Andreina is also board member of other organizations such as: APM (Asociacion de Puertoriquenos en Marcha) and The Latino Network Professional Interest Committee (LNPIC) of the American Association of Museums. She has gained the respect and admiration of many of us in the city of Philadelphia.
We are going to miss her and we hope that Chicago sends her back to Philly once she finished with her studies.
In the same token of good news
Ruben Reyes, board member and Technology and Outreach Liaison of Casa de Venezuela, recently obtained the award of Volunteer of the Year by the YPN (Young Professional Network) of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations.
Ruben is youth professional that started his own business (www.lyquix.com), he is also the chair of the PMN (Professional Mentoring Network), program of Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and he is involved with other organizations and programs in the region.
Casa de Venezuela is extremely proud of people like Andreina and Ruben, for their commitment, for being part of our board and for the great job they have done in Casa de Venezuela, and also within all the organizations in which they have been involved. We love you Guys. |
